The Sweetest Thanksgiving Menu
Beverages, starters, sides, mains and desserts. We’ve got you covered for a honey-inspired feast for the tummy and senses. These recipes are easy to prepare and touched by angel’s wings (bees are angels to us). The perfect compliments to your family heirloom recipes, and will lead to great conversations with very few leftovers.
Beverages
Pumpkin Spiced Cider
(Make up to three days ahead and heat up before your guests arrive for the most glorious smelling home)
Honey Bourbon Sour
(because sometimes with family around you may need something stiffer. Set out the ingredients and let everyone help themselves.)
Starters/Appetizers
Spiced Cheese Ball
(Make up to two days ahead and bring to room temperature before guests arrive. Don’t forget the honey saltines!)
Honey Carrot Soup
(Make ahead and reheat just before serving. Carve out a pumpkin that will fit a large, insulated bowl and serve your soup from the pumpkin!)
Sunflower Honey Hummus
(Make ahead and set out right before guests arrive with loads of beautiful vegetables for dipping.)
Sides
Mashed Potatoes with Honey Caramelized Onions
(Caramelize the onions ahead and reheat just before stirring into the mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes MUST be made the day of.)
Stuffed Butternut Squash
(A great main dish for the vegetarians at the table.)
Hot Honey Brussels Sprouts
(PRO TIP: Go light on the Hot Honey and place an extra bottle on your buffet. Sometimes Grandma can’t stand all the heat.)
Honey Mashed Sweet Potatoes
(Mash just before serving. This is a great job for anyone who is hovering around the kitchen.)
Honey Roasted Pumpkin Risotto
(THIS is a labor of love if done right. If anyone arrives early, keep them busy with a cup of cider and stirring the risotto.)
Grilled Acorn Squash with Honey
(If you aren’t in a warmer state and can’t pull out the grill, roast the acorn squash instead.)
Honey Beer Bread Rolls
(Make the dough a day ahead and bake off the day of. Don’t forget to mix up a bowl of honey butter!)
Mains
Bourbon Honey Lacquered Turkey
(The perfect coating for a turkey breast or whole turkey.)
Honey Hoisin Sheet Pan Pork
(Forgo a spiral ham and have this easy and flavorful pork dish instead.)
Desserts
Apple Spice Cake
(Bake the day before and spoon Pumpkin Spice Honey over just before serving.)
Honey Basque Cheesecake
(Easy and so delicious. Can be made two days before. Bring to room temperature before serving.)
Pumpkin Spice Cannoli Dip
(Have fun with this one. Spoon individual portions into teacups and place on a saucer piled with ginger snaps. We love mixing and matching cups and saucers.)
Honey Peanut Pie
(Serve this uniquely delicious pie alongside the Pecan Pie and see which one goes faster. Hint…it’s this one.)
