Founderβs Notes
For as long as I can remember Iβve had a connection to bees. From being introduced to beekeeping at 14 years old, I grew up learning how important these little creatures are. After time in the Peace Corp and teaching beekeeping in schools, I returned to Georgia. It was here I found myself searching for new ways to share the magic of bees and honey. My original mission with Savannah Bee Company was to sell the best honeybee products while educating people about the fascinating world of bees.Β There was also a conscious effort to elevate the honey world from plastic bears into a place where it would be truly appreciated.Β For over 20 years weβve sourced the purest honey from the finest beekeepers around the world - folks that I know by name and trust to provide the highest quality. From blossom to bottle, everything we do is to celebrate the incredible work of bees and the natural beauty they create.

Decades of Dedication
Our over 44 years of experience has made global impact that supports beekeepers and sustainable honey production across multiple regions. From the Bahamas to Brazil, we have provided equipment, educated communities, and helped build sustainable honey supply chains that create economic opportunities while protecting native ecosystems. Closer to home, we continue to partner with beekeepers nationwide to promote sustainable operations domestically. We proudly fund innovative research and regenerative practices through ongoing support of Bee Regenerative.
Ethical Honey Sourcing
The story of great honey starts long before it fills the jar. Our story starts with beekeepers from all around the world who care deeply for their bees and their land. These are the beekeepers we know personally. These partnerships allow us to support over 100,000 hives across the globe. By sourcing ethically and building long-term relationships, we help ensure healthier hives, stronger communities, and some truly remarkable honey.
Educating the Next Generation
The Bee Cause Project, our educational non-profit, has awarded more than 1,300 Bee Grants, placing live observation hives in schools, nonprofits, and community organizations across all 50 U.S. states, as well as Canada, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Haiti, and Guam. These hands-on experiences bring pollinators into the classroom, connecting students directly to the ecosystems that support our food system and planet.
Sustainable Packaging
We have and will continue to invest in more responsible packaging solutions as we grow. Using glass jars and 100% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) water bottles is set to divert 200-300,000 bottles annually from landfills. Recyclable wrap instead of bubble wrap, biodegradable spoons and cups in our retail locations, and recyclable shipping boxes are just the beginning. Balancing product integrity and sustainability is an ongoing journey β one weβre committed to every step of the way.
