When you’re in a pinch and need a simple, but delicious dessert idea this is it! The tang of sour cream is tamed by our sweet wildflower honey and hint of almond extract. Spoon the sauce over store-bought or homemade poundcake and top with your favorite fresh berries.
Honey-Almond Sauce with Pound Cake and Berries
(super simple creamy dessert sauce)
What you need:
½ cup sour cream
1½ tablespoons Savannah Bee Company® Wildflower Honey or your favorite Savannah Bee Company® Honey, plus more for drizzling over
¼ tsp almond extract
Pound cake slices
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Make the Sauce: Stir together the sour cream, honey, and almond extract.
To Serve: Dollop about 2 tablespoons of sauce onto slices of pound cake. Top with your favorite berries and drizzle with more honey to finish.
