A classic bourbon sour made smoother with an orange blossom honey simple syrup and cooler with a garnish of raw honeycomb.
Honey Bourbon Sour
(aged honey, bourbon + a punch of sour)
What you need:
2 ounces Bourbon (we used Angel’s Envy® Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Port Wine Barrels)
1 ounce honey simple syrup (recipe to follow)
1 ounce lemon juice
1 ounce apple cider
Raw honeycomb for garnish
Honey Simple Syrup
Makes ½ cup
¼ cup Port Bourbon Barrel Aged Orange Blossom Honey
¼ cup very hot water
Stir honey into water until honey has dissolved. Allow to cool before using.
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Mix Cocktail: Chill a coupe glass. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the bourbon, honey simple syrup, lemon juice and apple cider. Shake. Shake. Shake. Strain and pour into chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a cube of Savannah Bee Company® Raw Honeycomb. Serve immediately.
