A 4th of July Menu just for you!
You’ve prepped the grill, objectively too many fireworks are standing by, and your friends are milling around your yard... It’s time to kick off that 4th of July cookout!
Of course you’ve asked everyone to bring a few of their favorite cold bottled drinks to share, but it’s always great to have a batch cocktail on hand for a party. If you haven’t tried our Honey Melon Sangria, you’re in for a TREAT. Summer-sweet melons and your favorite white wine marry into a refreshing honey-sweetened cocktail that’s summertime in a glass!
The key to a good cookout is great company, but we’re big proponents of making sure food is ready to go! Honey Baked Beans are the perfect make-ahead side that you can warm up 30 minutes before guests start to arrive. A classic charcuterie board (with honeycomb of course) is a great way to keep guests entertained. But here’s a special professional entertainer tip... Have all of the prepped ingredients and the board ready to go so that your early birds can “help you out” and throw that charcuterie board together while you finish frying the delicious Cornmeal Fried Green Tomatoes!
Once it’s time to fire up the grill, start your guests off with some Grilled Hot Honey Watermelon before you get to the showstopper... Ted’s Smash Burgers! We know what you’re thinking, “Can you smash burgers on a grill?” YES! We love heating a large cast iron skillet over the open flame of a grill. You get to stay with your guests and bonus, the house won’t smell like burgers for a few days.
Once your guests are good and stuffed, pull out the Strawberry Ice Box Pie you put in the freezer last night. Add a little 4th of July pizazz by mixing in fresh blueberries with the strawberries!
PS: Because we’re in the South we have to remind you... We’re having a good, old-fashioned cookout. It’s not a barbeque if there’s no barbeque!
