We believe meaningful change happens when businesses move beyond donations and into active stewardship...
We love bees. And honey. In that order.
From protecting pollinators and supporting beekeepers to sourcing the purest, most distinctive honeys in the world, our work is rooted in love for the living systems that make honey possible. Impact is our goal. It’s how we operate, every day, from hive to table.
Founder’s Notes
“For as long as I can remember I’ve had a connection to bees. From being introduced to beekeeping at 11 years old, to working for no money with an old beekeeper in high school, I grew up learning how important these little creatures are. After time in the Peace Corp, working with hundreds of beekeepers and teaching beekeeping in schools, I returned to Georgia, right where I started my honey journey. It was here I found myself searching for new ways to share the magic of bees and honey.
My original mission with Savannah Bee Company was to sell the best honeybee products while educating people about the fascinating world of bees. I didn’t know anyone that did that sort of thing - combining education and business. I was trying to come up with the best way to properly introduce customers to bees and quality honey. I figured that if people only knew the process, they would learn to love the bees and their products as much as I do.

There was also a conscious effort to elevate the honey world - bringing honey out of the plastic bears and into beautiful bottles, and into a place where honey and bees were truly appreciated. That was in 1999, and since then we’ve worked hard to make the dream of Savannah Bee Company into reality.
For 20 years we’ve sourced the purest honey from the finest beekeepers around the world - folks that I know by name and trust to provide the highest quality. From our conscientious packaging, to our experiential retail stores, and our non-profit The Bee Cause Project, everything we do is to celebrate the incredible work of bees and the natural beauty they create. Our goal is to keep growing and learning and sharing, giving our voice to the bees with every bottle of honey.”

Decades of Dedication
With over 44 years of experience, our beekeeping has inspired environmental awareness. Through our interactive stores and expanding online presence, we continuously educate on the importance of honey bees and their environmental impact. We aim to create a sustainable network, reflecting our commitment to the planet.
Ethical Honey Sourcing
The story of great honey starts long before it fills the jar. Our story starts with beekeepers from all around the world who care deeply for their bees and their land. These are the beekeepers we work with. By sourcing ethically and building long-term partnerships, we help ensure healthier hives, stronger communities, and some truly remarkable honey.
Educating the Next Generation
The Bee Cause Project, our educational non-profit, has seen over 1,000 beehives and pollinator habitats flourish in schools across continents. This initiative brings hives to local kids and intends to nurture budding beekeepers, instilling a sense of responsibility towards our shared environment.
Sustainable Packaging
Our pledge to the environment is evident in our adoption of sustainable packaging and the transition to 100% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic bottles. This simple yet profound change is set to divert 200-300,000 bottles annually from landfills, marking a significant step in our eco-journey. And as early adopters of recyclable Geami wrap over bubble wrap, and biodegradable spoons and cups in our retail locations, we hope to share these simple ways of protecting the environment in our daily decisions.
Pure Honey, Unparalleled
