Citrus Honey Glazed Miso Salmon

Citrus Honey Glazed Miso Salmon

Overview

Savory miso, soy sauce, and Savannah Bee Company Citrus Honey come together in a bright, sweet-and-salty glaze for perfectly seared salmon. Ready in minutes, this simple dish pairs beautifully with sticky rice and fresh scallions for an easy weeknight dinner.

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper on all sides.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together miso paste, honey, rice vinegar and soy sauce.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.  Place the salmon onto the hot pan skin side down for about 3 minutes, until the skin is crispy and is easily removed from the pan.
  4. Flip salmon over and add in the sauce.  Use a spoon to baste the fish while it is cooking for an additional 3-5 minutes.  Continue to check the doneness of the fish and remove when it is done to your liking (typically when the center of the salmon is semi-firm and can easily flake).
  5. Continue to reduce the sauce over medium heat for an additional minute.  Before serving, glaze with additional sauce.
  6. Optional: Top with chopped scallions and serve over sticky rice.
