If you didn't get your Mint Julep fix during the Kentucky Derby this past weekend, no worries. Any time is a good time for a Mint Julep. We put our own spin on this this classic by using Tupelo Honey, and it is deliciously refreshing, if we do say so ourselves! With only a few key elements, the best Mint Juleps are made with quality ingredients. Start with a smooth, full-bodied bourbon like Savannah 88. You can use your favorite honey to sweeten to taste, but we recommend Tupelo. It's buttery sweetness is perfect for bourbon-based beverages.
2.5 ounces good bourbon
1 Tbsp Tupelo Honey
Add Tupelo Honey to the bourbon and stir until honey dissolves
Pour over mint. (Do not over-muddle your mint, just clap it one time!)
Top with Seltzer water and crushed ice
Garnish with a sprig of mint
