Hot Honey Brownies
A sweet and vicious chewy brownie.
Hot Honey Brownies
(double chocolate with a smooth kick of heat + triple honey)
Makes 12
What you need:
½ cup butter plus more for greasing pan
2 ounces bittersweet chocolate
½ cup cocoa powder (use the good stuff!)
¾ cup Savannah Bee Company honey (we used Hot Honey)
¼ cup all-purpose flour plus more for flouring pan
1 teaspoon vanilla paste (can substitute vanilla)
½ teaspoon salt
2 eggs, room temperature
¼ cup Savannah Bee Company® Whipped Honey with Cinnamon (optional)
Savannah Bee Company® Raw Honeycomb, cut into bite-sized pieces
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Melt the Chocolate: Preheat oven to 350º F. Lightly grease and flour an 8x8-inch baking pan. In a small saucepan over low heat, add the butter, bittersweet chocolate and cocoa powder. Cook, stirring, just until butter and chocolate have melted. Remove from heat.
3. Add Honey: Whisk hot honey, vanilla, salt and eggs into the melted chocolate. Stir in flour.
4. Bake Brownies: Spoon batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes. Allow to cool.
To Serve: Spread the pan of cooled brownies with a thin layer of the cinnamon whipped honey. Cut into 12 squares and garnish with raw honeycomb bites. Alternately, you can cut into squares and drizzle with more hot honey!
