Honey Garlic Pasta
The use of Angel Hair Pasta makes this a quick cooking weeknight meal. The obscene amount of Parmesan on top makes it a date night dinner.
Honey Garlic Pasta
(garlic and honey-tossed angel hair pasta + an obscene amount of parmesan)
Serves 4
What you need:
16 ounces angel hair pasta
5 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup Savannah Bee Company Honey (we used Orange Blossom Honey)
1/8 cup chopped basil, plus more for garnish
2 cups finely grated Parmesan cheese (grate using a microplane rasp grater)
Kosher salt
Coarsely ground pepper
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet sauté the garlic in butter. Add honey after the garlic is soft. Stir to combine.
3. Cook Pasta: Prepare the pasta according to packaging directions. Drain the pasta, reserve ½ cup of the pasta water. Pour the butter mixture over the pasta, add chopped basil and toss to coat.
4. Finish Pasta: Add the pasta to the butter mixture and toss to coat (if mixture seems dry add reserved pasta water). Stir in chopped basil. Salt and pepper to taste.
To Serve: Divide pasta among serving dishes and top each with a gratuitous amount of grated Parmesan. Garnish with basil and serve immediately.
