Honey Chili Butter Shrimp Tacos
This easy shrimp taco recipe is perfect for weeknights or family get togethers. The shrimp are seasoned with chili powder and smoked paprika before being tossed with a sweet honey and butter sauce to make what we think is the best shrimp taco recipe.
Honey Chili Butter Shrimp Tacos
(corn tortillas + shrimp seasoned with spiced honey butter sauce)
Serves 4
What You Need:
¼ cup salted butter
3 tablespoons Savannah Bee Company Honey (we used Tupelo Honey)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 pound peeled and deveined large shrimp
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
2 avocados, pitted and sliced
2 cups shredded lettuce
Fresh cilantro leaves
Chopped red onion
12 taco-size corn tortillas, charred
Savannah Bee Company Honey Hot Sauce for serving
What to Do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Make the honey chili butter sauce: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the honey and lemon juice and stir until combined.
3. Cook the shrimp: Toss the shrimp with the chili powder and paprika. Add to the butter sauce and cook until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper
To Serve: Divide the shrimp, avocado, lettuce, cilantro, and onion evenly between the tortillas. Serve with honey hot sauce if desired.
