Honey BBQ Baked Beans
(bacon, sweet onions, beans + honey BBQ Sauce)
What you need:
4 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
½ cup diced sweet onion
1 cup Savannah Bee Company BBQ Sauce-SWEET or HOT (depending on if you like your beans spiced up)
3 (15.5-ounce) cans navy beans, drained and rinsed
What to Do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Coat a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
3. Cook the bacon: Cook the bacon in a large skillet until crispy. Remove from the skillet with a slotted spoon to paper towels to drain, reserving the drippings in the skillet. Add the onion to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes or until tender.
4. Season the beans: Stir together the BBQ sauce and the beans. Add the bacon, onion, and beans and stir to combine.
5. Bake the beans: Transfer the beans to the prepared baking dish. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the beans are bubbly.
To Serve: Serve warm.
