Warm Kombucha Cider

Warm Kombucha Cider

We bet you’ve never had kombucha this way before! Pretend apple cider and kombucha had a baby. This is what you’d get: A warm, effervescent cider with hints of winter spice.

Holiday Hipster (Warm Kombucha Cider)
(warm kombucha with winter spices)
Serves 2

What you need:
1 (16-ounce) bottle favorite Kombucha
1 (1-inch) piece ginger, peeled and sliced
Orange slices
1 cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Whole star anise for garnish (optional)
1 tablespoon Savannah Bee Company Honey (we used Wildflower Honey)

What to do:

1. Wash Up!

2. Steep the kombucha: Combine the kombucha, honey, ginger, and orange in a small saucepan. Heat on low for 20 minutes. (Do not boil. Too high of heat will kill that fermented probiotic goodness.)

To Serve: Remove the cinnamon stick and ginger, and stir in the vanilla. Divide evenly between mugs. Garnish with star anise, if desired.

Pro Tip: Leave the orange slices in the cider and use as a garnish.

What’s something you spend money on every month that makes you think “what am I doing?!”

happy bees. happy earth.
