Baked Feta
(feta, almonds, sun-dried tomatoes + hot honey)
Serves 6-8
What you need:
3 tablespoons avocado oil, divided
8-ounce block of feta cheese, patted dry
1/3 cup raw almonds (or nut of your choice, we also like pistachios or walnuts for this)
1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil plus 1 tablespoon of the oil
2-3 tablespoons Savannah Bee Company Honey (we used Savannah Bee Company Hot Honey, depending on how hot you like it…we like it with a kick!)
3 stems fresh thyme
Coarsely ground black pepper
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Bake the feta: Preheat oven to 400° F. Grease a small oven safe dish with 1 tablespoon of avocado oil. Place block of feta in the center of the dish, surround with nuts and sun-dried tomatoes. Drizzle the feta and nuts with remaining avocado oil, honey, thyme and sun-dried tomato oil. Sprinkle lightly with black pepper. Bake until the feta is soft, and nuts are warm, about 10 minutes.
To Serve: Serve warm with torn crusty bread. This is perfect for the center of a holiday party grazing board.
