Frequently asked questions

Tupelo Honey comes from the white Tupelo tree, which blooms for only a few weeks each year along the river swamps of the southeastern U.S. Its limited harvest window and high fructose ratio give it a distinctive buttery, floral flavor that sets it apart from other honeys.

Tupelo Honey is one of the few honeys that resists crystallization due to its unusually high fructose-to-glucose ratio. It will stay smooth and pourable much longer than most other varieties.

Store it at room temperature in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly sealed. There's no need to refrigerate it. Kept properly, honey has an essentially indefinite shelf life.

Savannah Bee Company takes pride in minimally processing our honeys to preserve their natural flavor, aroma, and beneficial properties. Check the product label for specific details on filtration and processing for this variety.
