Savannah Bee Company and Sustainability
Savannah Bee Company believes in the power of nature. As resilient as the earth is, there are always obstacles that can keep it from thriving. We want to use our voice and our actions as an example, leading and growing our sustainable practices, all to leave a better home for the bees.
Past
For more than four decades, Savannah Bee Company has pioneered conservation through beekeeping. Established 44 years ago, the company’s dedication to giving a voice to the bees has grown to be a catalyst for greater environmental awareness.
Through brick-and-mortar stores and a growing digital presence, we aim to cultivate a widespread network dedicated to sustainability. Our hope is that this network will reflect our dedication to the health of the planet, demonstrating how long-term commitments can influence broader ecological benefits.
Present
Our quest to source the world’s finest honey has led us to support approximately 100,000 bee hives around the world, always collaborating with beekeepers who share a commitment to ethical beekeeping practices and the production of high-quality honey.
These partnerships are not only about harvesting the best honey but also about promoting the pollination of flora globally, supporting the entire ecosystem.
Our beloved non-profit, The Bee Cause Project, has successfully introduced over 1,000 beehives and pollinator habitats into educational institutions across different continents. This initiative is designed to inspire and educate the next generation of beekeepers, instilling in them a lifelong love and interest for our environment.
Future
Looking ahead, we’re looking to improve our commitment to sustainable packaging solutions. Transitioning to 100% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic bottles is a significant move towards reducing landfill waste, with an estimated 200,000 to 300,000 plastic bottles repurposed annually. This is a first step in a huge shift towards sustainable packaging and shipping.
Savannah Bee Company is more than just honey. Our sustainability initiatives — from global bee conservation to the pioneering of eco-friendly practices — embody our ethos of mutual benefit and respect for nature.
We invite you to join us in celebrating the beauty of bees and the planet they nourish, promising preservation for generations to come.
