Honey Candied Seeds and Nut Mix
We love holiday gifting, especially when it can be a gift from our own kitchens! Friends and family will feel loved knowing you thought of them during the busiest time of the year. These honey candied nuts are a great way to make a sweet & beautiful gift for several friends in under an hour!
Honey Candied Seeds and Nut Mix
(sesame seeds, peanuts, pistachios + honey)
Serves 4-6
What you need:
2 cups toasted nuts (peanuts, pistachios, almonds, pecans)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Savannah Bee Company Honey (we used Lavender Honey)
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup sesame seeds, divided
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Make the candy: Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, stir the nuts, sugar, honey, water and 1/4 cup sesame seeds. Stir consistently as the sugar melts and begins to thicken. Heat until the mixture reaches 310°F, move the mixture to the prepared baking sheet to cool. Quickly sprinkle the candied nuts with remaining sesame seeds.
To Serve: Break into pieces and bag up to hand out to friends or serve with grazing boards at your next party.
Pro Tip: Toast raw nuts in a 350° F oven for 10-15 minutes for your own toasted nuts.
