Oatmeal Cookie Latte
We heard that this oat milk and cinnamon syrup coffee drink was on a secret Starbucks menu, so naturally we had to give it a spin—with our favorite whipped honey, of course.
Oatmeal Cookie Latte
(cookie-flavored simple syrup + espresso + oat milk)
Serves 1
What You Need:
For the oatmeal cookie syrup:
¼ cup water
¼ cup Savannah Bee Company Whipped Honey (we used Original Whipped Honey)
1 cinnamon stick
¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the latte:
¾ cup oat milk
¼ cup espresso
2 tablespoons oatmeal cookie syrup
Garnish: favorite oatmeal-raisin cookies
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Make the oatmeal cookie syrup: Combine the water, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and stir until the honey dissolves. Remove from the heat and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes. Let cool to room temperature. Remove the cinnamon stick and stir in the vanilla.
3. Finish the latte: Heat the oat milk until hot. Add the espresso to a mug. Pour in the hot oat milk and 2 tablespoons of the syrup.
To Serve: Garnish the latte with an oatmeal cookie, if desired.
