Limonado
Creamy and tart, this is the perfect drink for a hot summer day when you are looking for a frozen bevy to cool off. Sweetened condensed milk and honey help tame the tangy whole limes.
Limonado
(sweetened condensed milk, lime + honey)
Serves 4-6
What You Need:
4 limes
1 (7-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons Savannah Bee Company Honey (we used Orange Blossom Honey)
4 cups cold water
1 1/2 cups ice
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Make the drink: Combine the limes, sweetened condensed milk, honey, water, and ice in a blender and pulse 5 to 8 times. (You are trying to extract and combine the flavors without pulverizing the lime. The rind pieces should still be visible.)
3. Strain (optional): We like this drink to have some texture, so we did not do this step. But, if you like a smoother consistency, pour the drink through a fine mesh strainer, pressing with a spatula to extract all of the liquid.
To Serve: Pour into tall ice filled glasses and serve immediately, with straws.
Pro Tip: Want to keep it non-dairy? Try coconut milk sweetened condensed milk or oat milk sweetened condensed milk instead.
Table Talk: What beach are you dying to visit?
happy bees.
happy earth.
