Honey Hugo Spritz
(honey simple syrup, lime, botanicals + Prosecco)
Serves 1
What you need:
For the honey simple syrup:
1 tablespoon Savannah Bee Company Honey (we used Lavender Honey)
¼ cup water
For the cocktail:
1 tablespoon honey simple syrup
2 mint sprigs
Lime wheels
3 tablespoons elderflower liqueur
¼ cup chilled Prosecco
¼ cup chilled club soda
Edible flowers for garnish
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Make the honey simple syrup: Stir together the honey and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the honey dissolves, about 1 to 2 minutes. Set aside to cool.
3. Make the cocktail: Combine 1 tablespoon of the simple syrup, the leaves of 1 mint sprig, and 1 lime wheel in a jar or glass. Muddle the mixture to release the oils from the mint and the juice from the lime. Add the elderflower liqueur.
To Serve: Pour the mixture into an ice-filled glass, straining if desired. Top with Prosecco and club soda. Garnish with mint, lime wheels, and edible flowers. Serve immediately.
Pro Tip: Make a double-batch of the simple syrup and keep it in the fridge. It’s perfect for adding a little sweetness to iced tea.
