Crispy Baked Honey Hot Sauce Chicken Wings
(a fiery finger-lickin’ favorite)
Serves 4
What you need:
3 pounds chicken wings, tips removed and cut into drumettes and flats, if desired
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/3 cup salted butter
1/3 cup Savannah Bee Company® Honey Hot Sauce
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Prep the Wings: Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with a wire rack and coat the rack with cooking spray. Remove the tips from the chicken wings and separate the flats from the drumettes, if desired.
3. Dredge the Wings: Pat the wings dry with paper towels. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Combine the flour and baking powder in a shallow dish. Dredge the chicken wings in the flour mixture and place on the prepared rack. Coat the wings with cooking spray.
4. Make the Sauce: Combine the butter and hot sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat and cook until the butter melts.
5. Bake the Wings: Bake for 40 minutes, turning the wings over after 20 minutes. Brush both sides of the wings with the sauce. Bake for 15 more minutes or until the wings are browned and crispy.
To Serve: Transfer the wings to a serving platter and drizzle with any remaining sauce if desired.
