As the calendar advances to a new year, we all have the opportunity to make a fresh start. Sometimes these changes come in the form of resolution that includes abstaining from a negative condition like overindulgence while other times change comes in the form of healthy additions. Personally, I am a fan of healthy additions. Healthy additions seem so much more positive and I find them easier to implement. I do agree that overindulgence should always be kept in check and that we all should tread the path of moderation. However, it seems, that abstinence for those things we enjoy can often be a recipe for failure!

Raw Honeycomb – Raw honeycomb is not only a staff favorite but it is also a customer favorite. Many of our customers comment that our raw honeycomb is a treat from their past that is hard to find these days. Not only is raw honeycomb a treat but it is also a very nutritious food.
Honeycomb, by definition, is just a cluster of repeating hexagonal cells that fill the interior of a beehive. This beeswax structure has several functions within the hive, one of which is to store honey. Honeybees will fill each individual cell with pure, raw honey. In fact, the honey within the honeycomb is the purest form of honey available. You see, honey has this interesting characteristic of absorbing water from the surrounding air. Water actually moves from the air into the honey itself, which actually dilutes the honey a little bit. However, the honey contained within a capped honeycomb cell is sealed away from the atmospheric moisture. As a result, the honey inside the capped cell maintains a lower water content. This pure, raw honey is very nutritious. Raw honey is loaded with vitamins, whole pollen, enzymes, and antioxidants. Although the beeswax is relatively low in nutritional value, it is 100% edible and is a great source of dietary roughage.
Raw honeycomb is a fun and nutritious food that can easily be added into your new healthy lifestyle!
Propolis Throat Spray – Savannah Bee Propolis Spray products are a must during cold winter months! Propolis is just another small miracle produced by honeybees. This substance is highly antimicrobial and antibiotic. In fact, studies have shown that pure propolis has been highly effective in the treatment of MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus).
Our propolis sprays come in two varieties, Strong and Minty and Honey with Propolis. The Strong and Minty spray has a much higher concentration of propolis. In addition, this spray includes two powerful botanical extracts, Echinacea, and Umckaloabo. Both of these active ingredients have been used for centuries to treat symptoms associated with the common cold. The Honey and Propolis Spray contains a higher concentration of honey and a lower concentration of propolis. This product is designed for daily use to support a healthy mouth and throat.
Watch out, the Strong and Minty Propolis Spray is strong! Propolis has a unique flavor and is an acquired taste for some. Think of this as a medicinal product. Personally, I love it!
Liquid Honey Hand Soap – Our Liquid Honey Hand Soap is one of our best-selling Health and Beauty products. This product has a cult following in the medical industry. We all know that frequent hand washing tends to dry hands out, especially during cooler months. Medical professionals wash and re-wash their hands throughout the day. Our Honey Hand Soap is the perfect solution for dry skin resulting frequent washing.
The natural honey in this soap serves not only as a great cleansing agent but also as a softening agent. Honey is a natural humectant and helps prevent moisture loss. This hand soap will leave you hands so soft and smelling great!
Beeswax Lip Balm – If you have ever tried Savannah Bee Beeswax Lip Balm, you already know that it is incredible. But, you may not know that our beeswax lip balm contains all four ingredients from the hive; propolis, honey, beeswax, and royal jelly. Each or these ingredients serves to protect and nourish your lips in a special way. Propolis is antibacterial. Royal Jelly is packed full of vitamins, amino acids, and antioxidants. Beeswax creates a barrier between your lips and the cold winter air, protecting and locking in natural moisture, and honey is softening and moisturizing.
Our Beeswax Lip Balm is one of our oldest Health and Beauty products. It is tested and true. Currently, our lip balm is available in eight delicious flavors; tupelo honey, earl gray, mint julep, wild blackberry, salted caramel, Georgia peach, key lime, and sweet tea.
Beeswax Salve – Our Beeswax Salve is also one of our original body care products. This salve has been around for years and has a loyal customer following. Savannah Bee Beeswax Salve is deeply moisturizing and capable of treating your most acute dry skin needs. This product is absolutely perfect for cold, dry winter weather.
Our Beeswax Salve is the perfect intensive treatment for hands, feet, and elbows. Natural beeswax creates a protective layer over skin allowing rich sunflower and olive oil to deeply moisturize.
Lemon Honey – Whipped Honey with Lemon is a perfect sweetener for your hot tea this winter. Just a teaspoon will deliver ideal sweetness with just a dash of pure lemon flavor! To create the delicious honey variety we whip pure wildflower honey and add just the right amount of lemon oil. After the mixing we allow the honey to “set-up” at low temperatures for over a week. Once we have obtained the perfect consistency, our Whipped Honey with Lemon is ready for you!
