Shadow Floral Art
What you need:
a sunny day
watercolor paper
watercolor pencils
small flower arrangement or potted plant
paint brushes
small cup of water
What to do:
1: Trace the plant: Position a plant to throw a shadow onto watercolor paper and use watercolor pencils to trace the plant in as much or as little detail as you want. We loved trying to match the plants’ colors as we were working through our shadow.
2. Paint the drawing: Using ample water, paint over the traced lines to activate the watercolor pencils. Work quickly for a more “impressionist” result. Let dry in the sun.
To use: Display around the house to bring a little outside sunshine into your home!
