DIY Lip Balm Valentines

Parchment Paper Lip Balm Valentines
Makes 5
What you need:
5 of your favorite Savannah Bee Company Lip Balms
Scissors or Pinking Shears
10 8-inch squares of parchment paper
1 bag of packaging crinkle
5 clothes pins or sewing clips (optional but very handy)
What to do:
1: Shape the Valentines: Use scissors or pinking shears to cut a heart by folding 2 pieces of parchment in half. Cut into the heart shape using the maximum allowed amount of space. Open and shape the pieces together.
2. Start sewing: Before filling the heart, sew the first half of the valentine together. Using embroidery thread (for this project, do not split the thread) stitch in 1/2 inch stitches going around 1/2 to 3/4 of the heart. Clip the heart and embroidery thread to hold in place.
3: Fill and finish the Valentine: Add crinkle and lip balm (maybe throw in some delicious dark chocolate too!) to fill the valentine to a comfortable capacity. It will require less crinkle than you think! Once done, you can use sewing clips or clothespins to hold the valentine closed while you embroider the rest of the valentine. Finish with a small knot and repeat with the rest of your parchment.
To use: We love to write little notes and pop them inside before beginning to encourage loved ones and friends and remind them of all of the reasons why we love spending time with them (especially when they don’t have chapped lips ;) Hot lovers will get it.
