Sauteed Pears with Lavender Honey

The next time you need a simple dessert, try this recipe out. Pears are sauteed in butter and our lavender honey and then served over ice cream…we recommend strawberry!

Sauteed Pears with Lavender Honey
(lavender-infused pears over strawberry ice cream)
Serves 4

What you need:
¼ cup unsalted butter
2 ripe pears, cored and sliced
1 tablespoon Savannah Bee Company honey (we used Lavender Honey,) 
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of ground cinnamon
Strawberry ice cream (optional)

What to do:

1. Wash Up!

2. Cook the Pears: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the pears. Cover and cook until the pears are almost tender. Stir in the honey and cook 1 more minute. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla.

To Serve: Sprinkle the pears with cinnamon and serve over ice cream, if desired.
