Mistletoe Margaritas
Looking for festive Christmas cocktails to make your holiday merry? We’ve got you covered with these pomegranate margaritas. Our beloved Tupelo honey makes its appearance in two places: to sweeten the drink and to decorate the glass rims dipped in bee pollen-margarita salt.
Mistletoe Margaritas
(pomegranate + tequila + triple sec + fresh lime)
Serves 2
What you need:
¾ cup pomegranate juice
1/3 cup tequila
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
¼ cup triple sec or other orange liqueur
2 tablespoons Savannah Bee Company Honey (we used Tupelo honey), plus more for the glass rims
Margarita salt
Savannah Bee Company Bee Pollen
Lime wedges for garnish
What to do:
1. Wash Up!
2. Make the margarita: Stir together the pomegranate juice, tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and honey in a pitcher until the honey dissolves.
3. Prep the glasses: Stir together some margarita salt and bee pollen in a shallow bowl. Coat the rims of two glasses with honey. Dip the glasses in the margarita salt.
To Serve: Add ice to the glasses. Divide the margarita evenly between the glasses. Garnish with lime wedges, if desired.
Pro Tip: Chill the margarita glasses before dipping in the honey. It’ll help the honey stay in place on the sides of the glass.
Table Talk: Have you ever kissed anyone under the mistletoe?
happy bees. happy earth.
