Savannah Bee Rosemary Honey is one of our most intricate and complex honey varieties. With native origins in Spain, Rosmarinus officinalis grows freely and blooms for an unusually long period of time. Its fresh, woodsy aroma and surprisingly herbaceous taste gives way to a delicately soft sweetness. Pair this premium honey with robust dishes like chicken, shrimp, pork and lamb for a noticeably herbal flavor and distinct sweetness.

Our Rosemary honey is produced in a remote natural setting and is a product of wild growing Rosemary plants. Like all Savannah Bee honey varieties, our Rosemary honey is 100% pure and KSA certified.

Former Honey Hater Goes Gaga

I've always been intrigued by the idea of honey and beekeeping, but as a kid I detested the taste of honey. In high school I twice forced myself to eat some in order to garner quick energy before playing basketball, but became terribly sick to the point that for many, many years I would gag simply by looking at a jar of it, and assumed that I was allergic. Over the years, and being a serious foodie, I always felt that I was somehow missing out until one day I read an article that stated that if you think you don't like honey, keep trying different varieties. Hope renewed!

Some months ago I was shopping at Central Market in Houston and saw Savannah Bee Company's tupelo honey. Remembering the movie Ulee's Gold, I decided to give it a try and liked it - a lot! Better still, I didn't get sick. Since that time I have purchased the Acacia, Orange Blossom, Lavender, and Rosemary. The only Savannah Bee artisan honeys not yet tried are the Sourwood and Wildflower. I'm just waiting for the Sourwood to be bottled and available in the fall of 2016 before ordering both.

While all the Savannah Bee honey tried thus far is excellent, in my opinion the one that stands out far and above all others in side-by-side taste tests is the Rosemary. It took a very long time to find my honey, and I will continue to taste and compare, but this is the one! In fact, I found a big chain store in Houston that temporarily carried only the Rosemary and Lavender at a very good price so I drove all over the city purchasing and stockpiling the Rosemary. I've already given one to a honey-loving friend and plan to spread the goodness at Christmas by giving to four family members as stocking stuffers, but the rest....they are mine...ALL MINE!!!
