Snickerdoodle Cookies
This easy Snickerdoodle recipe makes the most amazing soft and chewy cookies you’ve ever had! Coated in cinnamon and sugar, this classic cookie is a must have for the holidays and is a perfect cookie for Santa. Grab your kids and whip up this delicious treat.
Ingredients (Recipe Makes About 40 Cookies)
3 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 ½ Teaspoons Cinnamon
½ Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup of Butter or 2 Sticks of Butter Room Temp
1/3 Cup Whipped Honey With Cinnamon
½ Cup White Sugar
1 Whole Egg
1 Egg Yolk
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla
Cinnamon and Sugar Mixture Ingredients
2 Tablespoons white sugar
1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
- In a large mixing bowl add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix well and set aside
- Place the butter, whipped honey with cinnamon and sugar in a mixer or use a hand mixer and cream together until fluffy and light
- Add the eggs and mix until incorporated
- Add the vanilla
- Slowly add the dry ingredients about a half cup at a time until smooth and should look like a soft dough ball. Let rest 5 minutes
- In a separate bowl add the 2 tablespoons of white sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon and mix well, set aside
- Take a baking sheet and spray with baking oil
- Take the dough mix and spoon out about 1 tablespoon of the dough, and roll into a ball
- Toss cookie balls in the cinnamon and sugar mix
- Place onto a pan and space about 2 inches apart
- Bake for about 10 minutes
- When done let rest on sheet for 10 minutes then transfer to wire rack and cool
