Savannah Bee Acacia Honey!

Available Now, Raw Acacia Honeycomb! This post was written just before the original release of this product in the fall of 2015.

Savannah Bee Acacia honey has been a customer and staff favorite for many years. Acacia honey is prized around the globe for its delicate sweetness and its outstanding clarity. Pure Acacia honey is considered a white or very light honey variety. As a result of its color and clarity, Acacia honey is sometimes referred to as Moon honey or Water honey. We backlight Acacia honey jars and flutes in our Savannah Bee retail stores to feature the beauty of this one-of-a-kind honey. It is amazing to see customers reaction to this display, many being drawn to the simple beauty of the Acacia honey.

Acacia honey is produced widely across Europe but is scarce in the United States. Savannah Bee has been very fortunate to have very strong partnerships with a couple of the most skilled Acacia honey beekeepers in Europe. In fact, Acacia honey is one of the only honey varieties that we import. It’s just that good!

Traditionally Savannah Bee has sold two great varieties of raw honeycomb, Georgia Wildflower and a Star Thistle variety from the Rocky Mountains. Occasionally, during perfect honey years, we have sold Orange Blossom honeycomb and even Tupelo honeycomb. Raw honeycomb of all varieties sells out nearly every single year. It is a customer favorite, and rightly so! Raw honeycomb is delicious and nutritious. The honey inside the beeswax honeycomb cells represents the purest and most nutrient dense raw honey available.

The acacia honeycomb sounds delicious! I did have a question though – I’ve often heard that acacia honey is the same as the well sought after black locust honey…is this true? I know a ton of people who love black locust honey and would be excited to try it in honeycomb form!

  6. Cynthia Nettles says:

Please let me know when available. Thank you.

  7. Kenneth says:

So when I was in Boston, I found a REALLY old jar or Acacia honeycomb in this little ‘hole in the wall’ grocery store. It was obviously years old… but hey, it’s honey right? Not just honey, but it was ACACIA honeycomb.

It was so good. Like… SO good.

Regardless, long story short, I had to leave it with friends because of the TSA. BUT– It now seems that Savannah Bee will be selling it too! WOOHOO!! I am so excited!!

    1. Kenneth says:

Jar ‘OF’* Acacia honeycomb. Not ‘or’. I’ll grammar police myself.

  8. Kati says:

I’m excited to try the new Acacia Honeycomb. We have customers who have visited areas of Europe and are excited to see we carry the Acacia honey in the store. I can’t wait to see their expressions when they know we have Acacia Honeycomb in the store. 🙂

  9. Holden says:

I can’t explain how excited I am about this. Savannah Bee Company Acacia Honey has been a cherished item around my household and the sale of it in the comb comes with great delight. I can taste it now paired with berries and a soft cheese. Yum!

  10. Sarah says:

Acacia is one of my favorite honey varieties so I am so excited to try it in the comb form! The flavor is very light with a slight hint of vanilla which pairs well with a variety of foods. I love drizzling this honey over fruit such as pears with a little cube of cheese and I know from experience the comb will add some fabulous texture to the mix.

  11. Elyse says:

I cannot wait to savor this sweet treat on some Berries and Icecream. Honey comb adds a great texture to the icecream and the subtle vanilla flavor of Acacia can’t help but pair well with the duo.
