Potato Pancakes with Orange Blossom Honey

This traditional potato pancake recipe is wonderful comfort food. Serve the fried pancakes with sour cream for a light dinner, or offer them as an easy side dish. This is a simple, old-fashioned dish that everyone is sure to enjoy!


 3 Potatoes

 2 Shallots

 3 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour

 ½ Teaspoon Baking Powder

 2 Eggs

 1 Teaspoon chopped fresh dill

 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt

 ½ Teaspoon Fresh Black Pepper

 1 Teaspoon Butter

 1 Teaspoon Olive Oil

 Ingredients for Toppings 

 Sour Cream

 Fresh Dill

 1 3oz Bottle of Orange Blossom Honey


  1. Peel the potatoes, rinse, dice and put into a blender
  2. Peel shallots cut in half and add to blender
  3. Add the 3 tablespoons of flour, baking powder, eggs, dill, salt and pepper and blend until smooth
  4. On medium heat melt about one teaspoon of butter and one teaspoon of olive oil in a nonstick pan
  5. Add the batter ¼ cup at a time and cook till brown on both sides. Repeat until batter is gone
  6. Stack the pancakes on a plate and add desired amount of sour cream, fresh dill, and drizzle of orange blossom honey
  7. Finish with fresh cracked black pepper and kosher salt
