Make Your Own Honey Bun with Whipped Honey

Start a new family tradition this year with a make your own honey bun baking party. Each family member can make their own favorite flavor. Follow this quick and easy recipe and bake up fun with your family this holiday season.

 Honey Bun Ingredients

 1 ¼ Cup Warm Milk about 107-110 degrees

 1 ¼ oz Package of Yeast

 ½ Cup Sugar

 ½ Cup Melted Butter

 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt

 2 Eggs

 4 ½ cups AP Flour

 Directions

  1. In a stand mixer attached with a dough hook add warm milk about 105-110 degrees and package of yeast till dissolved and bubbly
  2. Add the sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs and flour
  3. Mix well until a ball forms
  4. Take out and knead by hand for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic 
  5. Spray a mixing bowl with cooking spray, and put the dough in. Let rise until it doubles in size
  6. Take out and roll the dough with a rolling pin into a 21x 15 sheet
  7. Cut the dough 7 inches wide 3 times to get three sheets of dough

Chocolate Chip Honey Buns Ingredients 

  1/3 Cup Whipped Honey with Chocolate

  1 Cup Chocolate chips

 Directions 

  1. With the first sheet of dough spread it with the whipped honey with chocolate, while reserving 1-2 tablespoons for the top drizzle, then sprinkle the chocolate chips all over
  2. At this point roll the dough from end to end creating a roll. Cut into 1 ½ inch circles and place in a pan coated with cooking spray.
  3. Let rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place
  4. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  5. Once the rolls have risen bake for 20-25 minutes
  6. Cool and spread the icing on them and drizzle with reserved whipped honey 

Lemon Raspberry Honey Buns

2/3 Cup Raspberry Preserve

1/3 Cup Whipped Honey with Lemon

1 Cup Sliced Toasted Almonds

 Directions

  1. With the second sheet of dough spread it with the raspberry preserve and whipped honey with lemon, while reserving 1-2 tablespoons for the top drizzle, then sprinkle the almonds all over
  2. At this point roll the dough from end to end creating a roll. Cut into 1 ½ inch circles and place in a pan coated with cooking spray.
  3. Let rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place
  4. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  5. Once the rolls have risen bake for 20-25 minutes
  6. Cool and spread the icing on them and drizzle with reserved honey

Whipped Cinnamon Honey Bun

1/3 cup Whipped Honey with Cinnamon

1 Tablespoon Cinnamon

1 Cup Honey Crisp Pecans

  1. With the third sheet of dough spread it with the whipped honey with cinnamon and cinnamon, while reserving 1-2 tablespoons for the top drizzle, then sprinkle crushed honey crisps pecans
  2. At this point roll the dough from end to end creating a roll. Cut into 1 ½ inch circles and place in a pan coated with cooking spray.
  3. Let rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place
  4. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  5. Once the rolls have risen bake for 20-25 minutes
  6. Cool and spread the icing on them and drizzle with reserved honey
