Angel Food Macaroons with Lavender Honey

 

We’re celebrating Father’s Day with a full week of glorious recipes geared towards our favorite guy- Dad!

Queen Bee Maggie – celebrating her husband’s first Father’s Day – is kicking off the series with his favorite Lavender Honey Angel Food Macaroons.

Angel Food Macaroons with Lavender Honey

Ingredients:
1/3 cup of warm water
1 cup Lavender Honey
t tsp vanilla
1 cup white flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
8 cups sweetened, shredded coconut
12 egg whites

Preparation:

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.  Mix the water, honey, and vanilla until combined. Add in flour, salt, cream of tartar and sweetened, shredded coconut and mix well. Beat the egg whites until they form medium to high white, solid peaks (easiest to do it in a Kitchen-Aid). Add the beaten egg whites to the mixture and mix until combined.Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges are a nice golden brown
