Honey BBQ Mountain Sauce

The Carolina Mountains are known for their vinegar-based BBQ Sauce. Use Acacia Honey to balance this tangy, sweet heat. This Mountain Sauce is perfect for dry rub ribs and fish.

Honey BBQ Mountain Sauce


  • 2 cups cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 3 ounces Acacia Honey
  • 1 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons cayenne
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • mustard powder
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder


  • Combine all the ingredients, mix until the honey and salt dissolve. Taste for seasoning, add pepper as needed. Transfer to a jar and refrigerate up to three months.
